While working on my boat trailer clearance light I found fishing line wrapped tightly around my axle and back side of my hub. It
took a while to cut it all out. I am probably going to have to check the back seal. Never expected and was hard to see.

you will be surprised if you look on the hub behind your prop too in alot of cases. I have seen braided line actually slice into the spindle/mainshaft on a trailer and on an outboard.

Happened to me last year. About 100 yards of mono. Melted onto the axle...what a mess...

I figured I was not the first. I thought about the prop but not the trailer axle.
