Sorry no one saw your question, I am no expert by any means but hope this helps.
I use slip bobbers with minnows to get the right depth, I then also place jigs at diff depths with diff colors and sizes until I find what they like then change over to that.
Most of the time I go very very slowly.

Welcome Joe. It looks like the Crappie are on the move to shallower water for spawning right now. However, here's a link to an article that explains Spider rigging and slow trolling for Crappie pretty well. Crappie Spider Rigging

I saw a few folks trying this at Jordan a couple of days ago. I like using this method in the winter months my self. Once the Crappie have been located, I like to move upwind of the fish, put out my drift sock, and drift slowing back over the spot.
