Hey all,

I'm in the market for a trolling motor. I don't need to buy one right away but would like to pick one up, say, before christmas time maybe.

Is there any time of year that these things go on sale, like a model year clearance or end of season sale? I'm not sure if there really is a season on these things.

I'd like to get this years top of the line model with GPS ipilot blah blah blah, but wouldn't mind waiting for a bit if I can save a few bucks.

Lemme know if you guys have any experience catching a sale on these.

I see different rebate offers from time to time from the manufacturers.

Another option might be going with a used. I am sure someone bought one, didnt care for it and decided to sell it after not alot of use.

I think the first of the year is when Minn Kota offers their rebate. At least, that is when I purchased mine. Also, Cabelas runs them on sale and when I bought mine they had the cheapest price.
