Got out for a few hours after work yesterday with c.lane and Gilbert. We found a few trout and somewhere around 10 stripers. All of our fish were caught on top waters and Contentnea Creek Custom baits. The big fish of the day went 5.75 pounds.

I proved that wrong in the month of April when I put well over 100 18-26.5 inch fish in the boat/kayak.

You boys got them biguns zeroed in! I went over a bridge the other day and everybody (3 guys) fishing beside it had a trout in their hand.....think it was down in Wilmington, yea...it was. But they appeared to be 12-13".

I know of a marina that has all the 12" trout you want to. Seems to be plenty around this year, but DMF launches in this particular marina says they will stay in that deep water all winter.

You pros/trout gods think that's true?

My guess is they'll be around all winter long. Might have to slow to a crawl to get bit but they'll be there.
