Trout

After reading the trout kill tread, there seems to be some strong evidence that closing the season several months after a hard winter REALLY helps the fall fishing. This got me thinking, if they did this after a normal or mild winter once in a while, that the fall fishing would be phenomenal.

I honestly think they should do it every year. No harvest from January through the first of June or sometime in late April early May.
Just close it for the netters every spring lol.

I think they should have a season every year like with striped bass. At least for a few years. would love to have a fishery like south coast or gulf coast. Not that it could ever happen but wishful thinking of course.
It is simply delusional to think that the commercial fishing industry would agree to any restriction on their activities that is not due to mother nature.
