Just fished a bass tournament 9-15-07. On Tillery .Big fish was 4-8 caught on a bone colored popr. My partner got 2 on a carolina rig black worm.. We were in double digits of small bass and one 7 lb blue cat with a gay blade on top water. All to small.Lake is at full pond. Have at it good luck Starz Hip

alcoa is flushing tuckertown nightly and have been regularly.. watch the 49 launch there is a boulder right near the floater.. that will cost ya a prop.. flat creek is your best bet for a decent launch.. tillery last i knew was slap full.

the lower end of tuckertown from newsome down to the dam makes good trolling water. most is 30-56 feet deep up near newsome creek mouth in the 20-30 foot range.. the eastern side has been good to me in the past.. i have caught some huge stripers and hybrids from the lake..

Tillery is a good crappie lake. About them cats, where were they at and how big were they, I'm jut wondering, b/c fish were scattered for me Sat. and I'm just wondering if they are moving in to a fall pattern already. Water is cooling off fast! It will be on before you know it. I've always cone good for crappie with minnows slow trolling in the creeks. Jacobs, Mountain Creek and the area around Swift Island boat ramp has produced for me well. The small bridge around Swift Island holds lots of crappie, but boats are through there all the time. Good luck, Tillery is at full pond, and water temp. was 79-81. It was 93-96 a couple weeks ago. I'm guessing the fishing will pick up when the water temps stabilize, quickly falling water temps and a storm fron that blew through Fri. night put a hurt on the bite for us. Tons of perch schooling though. Do they ever not eat?
Those cats were mostly around piers in 2 small necks down toward the lower dam on the left, bout 15-18 ft of water, not sure the name of creeks,we put in at 24/27 and went left on main channel, creeks were on left bout halfway between landing and dam.Cats were bout 2-4 lbs.good luck Starz
