I've been wanting to catch walleye lately, haven't since I was a little kid in upstate NY. Does anyone have experience fishing for them from shore or from a kayak? What rivers/lakes are known to hold reliable numbers of them? What time of year is best for them? I'm in RDU area so I know I'm gonna have to travel no matter what. I'd be willing to go to Virginia too if necessary.
