Pungo Water temps

In the upper 40's to lower 50's .
I went out on the Pungo on Tuesday. A raw, windy, cold, slow, drizzly, day. I just had to go fishing. The so lunar tables said it was a poor day to go, but I hadn't been trout fishing all of November. I was where I wanted to be, but there were no fish to be found. But I needed to go ... I'm sure you know the feeling.

Anyway, not a trout to be found, not another boat seen, gar were breaking the water which gave me false hope. But to answer the question of water temperature in the Pungo, the water temperature was a steady 45 degrees everywhere I went.

Will I be back later?

Bet on it...it ain't over. All I need is another decent day.
