Kayakin' Kelley and I are heading out to Weaver Creek on Jordan on Saturday Afternoon, the 12th - at least that's the tentative plan right now. I'm guessing we'd arrive at the launch between 2 and 2:30. Anybody wanna meet us out there?

Tossing my NCangler hat into the ring... I'm good for at least as tentative as you guys. Curious to see if Kelley can avoid the first-outing flip!

I sure hope I can!
Don't forget being able to paddle in a straight line as well. :D
Ya'll hang em high!!!!!
WRAL's forecast expects a high of about 74, "chance of showers developing", and SW winds 10-20 mph... They've added more raindrops to the icon since the last time I looked...

I'm still game to head out there and see what it's like, I'll just make a point of bringing a rain-repellent jacket...

I just looked at the latest forecast and we may get rain and we may not. On the other hand there may be a Thunderstorm! Don't you love the certainty of weather forecasts!

I'll be sure to bring a rain coat as well.

Oh ya, Lefty, could you bring your camera?

Either to get a pic of me tipping over or going in a straight line.
Either way I could use one so I can have an avatar of me and my new ride. :)

Kelley
Hope you all have some luck, Im volunteering my time at the congressional cememtery to pick up some trash.

Radar says the line of thunderstorms is a matter of "when" it'll get here, not "if"... So we decided to wait for another day... :(

Looks like we picked the wrong half of the day. I'm not getting any younger and my "another day"'s are too few & far between, so I'm still planning to get out after the storm line moves through. I've still got Weaver (Creek) on my Mind...

We gave it a go yesterday and I'm embarressed to say that we didn't even get a bite. I was planning to boat a few Crappie for the skillet but couldn't locate a fish. The water temp is right and the water is clearing a bit in Weaver creek but no one was boating much of anything. One guyt was catching some scattered fish abour five feet deep strolling in the cove which seemed to be the only technique that was producing at all.
