I have cleaned a few deer this year that had some red nodules in the fat right outside of the tenderloins.

I'm assuming they are blood clots, just don't think I have ever really noticed them before.

Any idea what they are and if they are normal (meat safe to eat)?

Most every deer I've ever cleaned and some but I've never seen that many. Shouldn't harm the meat.

Yeah haven't seen them that big but every deer I clean has them.
