I got a little burned out on the interweb world so I have been incognito this spring. So here is what I have been up to. It was a slow start to this year but we made up for it with good numbers and size. I have been exploring a lot of new water this year and have got a fair number off goose eggs to show for it BUT, that is the only way to learn new waters. Besides about 1 out of 5 times you hit the jackpot! You can't catch fish without a fly in the water!
Started out hot with my first Musky on a fly 36" It was hard to get a picture, this thing beat the daylights out of me in and out of the water...
Legit 12" speck (my best ever by far) and an even better picture of it swimming away
Had to get my panfish on. Thanks to fishjunky for the incredible recipe!
Dad has had some heel issues but we still have been able to get to some classic, well known spots...
annnnndddddd some places WAY off the map
Had some good creek/trail side food
Broke and ******* McGuyver Fixed Avery a loooong way from a trail
And some random stuff too
and caught some purty specks!!!
I hope everyone is getting out and enjoying this world we are all so blessed to be in! I have high hopes for brown bass and brown trout this summer and hopefully a return to Idaho and Montana this fall, I got a re-occuring case of Cutty and Bull Troutitis. It is all about experiencing Gods awesome creation with great friends and family. You only get one shot at this life, make it count.

"When I am old," says Tewksbury, "I want to remember this, all of this. Above all, these mountains and their streams and their trout, every sensation, every shadow, every sound. These days. Always, I want to remember these days."
