Looks home made to me. The early Spartan looking heddons and phleuger's didn't show a seam like that one has. And the eye looks imperfect. And most manufacturer's would have a stamp somewhere on the blade or body of the lure. It appears to be plastic which means it was made no earlier than the 1930's. Very cool. I'd send a photo to one of the antique lure forums for more information. Either that or go catch a bass with it!

It might be a Cotton Cordell Crazy Shad ca. 1980
Looks very similar except Crazy Shads had yellow eyes and no seam across the middle. Might have been used as a model to replicate the one the poster found. But why someone would make one when you could buy one for about $2 back in the day makes no sense either! A mystery indeed.

The blades are reminiscent of old Devils Horse. Wonder if it's an old Smithwick bait of some kind.

I see a few on Ebay. But they get pricey!
Ya Nip I Didees are wood. and my favorite topwater plug. They are so hard to get my hands on now a days.
