Snook, tarpon, jack crevalles...oops, that's Florida. Here, I have caught all sorts of bottom fish (groupers, sea bass, snappers) when it has been calm enough to get one to the bottom over live bottom in 75-90' of water. They are great to cast at what swims by out there, (amberjack, 'cudas, small mahi) too.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Mainly a deeper water big fish bait. Not a lot of uses for it inshore in NC unless you get it in front a big drum. Flounder yes but it would be reef flounder not inshore.

They have a good reputation for being easy to return items especially if you trade for merchandise..

I'm not worried about it. whats 3 and half bucks? I was just curious to see what the bait would be be good for.

Put some scent on it and try it Big bait = big fish! you might be surprised, some big striper or trout might nail it!
