As anyone with a Carolina skiff knows the hatches can rattle like crazy when underway. I put some "marine hatch tape" on to dampen the rattles and it worked pretty well but the stuff doesn't stick well and is very prone to tearing. Its basically a foam type "marine" tape I found on-line.

I am looking for a replacement material that has better adhesive and is made from a firmer, less prone to tearing, material. Not hard rubber, not foam like I have, somewhere in the middle I guess. It needs to be in the 1"- 2" width range -1/8 to 3/16 thick. Do any of you guys have experience with a material that worked well for this application and where to source the stuff? Thanks !
