Coming from Wisconsin to visit the Bryson City area the first week in November. Looking to do some largemouth bass fishing from my fishing kayak. Doing some reading, and I'm unsure how the seasonal draw down of water levels affect the fishing in November. Looking for suggestions of where to fish/stay within 1 hour of Bryson City that would have decent fishing opportunities. Any help would be appreciated.

Put in Calderwood Lake( small and no wind issues) and fish for big Smallies, put in at Fontana village marina and fish their cove--Largies, smallies, spots and white bass. Hire Ronnie Paris for a 1/2 day trip and tell him what you want and he'll show you where to fish. Tell him Coach recommended him.

We are trout trollers but have caught many bass in the area as well. Fontana has good walleyes as well. Hope it helps.

Cherokee is 30-40 min away---great river Trout fishing but go see their massive Elk herd. The Bulls will still be running their harems. Good food there too & a casino

Thanks, Coach. I've got Ronnie lined up for a day of fishing. Thanks for the suggestion.
