IM not sure what you are allowed to keep this time of year. I don't even know if the headboats run this time of the year I know the Continental Shelf doesn't and its the ONLY one I will use.
The Capt. Stacy is the only one not shut down until spring. Up north (NE, NY, NJ) there is enough interest & good fishing (SB, cod, tautog, etc.) for lots of winter trips. I don't know much about the party boats down here. I have heard good things about the CS and would go with them if they were running. I have this kind of fishing in my 67 year old blood.IM not sure what you are allowed to keep this time of year. Will take my jigging stuff (if the boat has enough people to sail) - hammered and butterfly jigs. Am used to drift over rock piles off Maryland jigging for SB. Thanks for the information. This time of year you'll be targeting black bass, beeliners, triggers, pinkies, and grunts. Grouper is closed as well as the porgy complex aside from pinkies (joltheads, chocolates, etc). Might pick up an AJ if you bring your own jigs
Yeah, you are right. I am just jonesing for some sb fishing. I did buy a limit (5) sb at Mayo Seafood fresh off the boat for $15. When I say fresh .... I picked the sb off the conveyor belt. My wife says I should always do that because it's cheaper. I then ask her if she knows what it would cost if I went INSANE from not fishingthat forecast is abysmal. wouldnt be much fun - look for a cleaner lookin day it will be worth waiting
SB huh? Do you have a boat? If you do, there is GOOD quality fish on the near shore AR's right now. Wouldn't be much of a boat ride to get to them. And I'm talking 15-16"ers mixed in.Yeah, you are right. I am just jonesing for some sb fishing. I did buy a limit (5) sb at Mayo Seafood fresh off the boat for $15. When I say fresh .... I would be trailering an 18' CS from Chocowinity area. When you say not much of a boat ride is that somewhere a nubie could go alone? Thanks for the information.SB huh? Do you have a boat? On a pretty day, absolutely. Depending on which inlet you go out of, you have AR 340 or 42 off Emerald Isle. And you have AR 315 off of AB for starters.I would be trailering an 18' CS from Chocowinity area. When you say not much of a boat ride is that somewhere a nubie could go alone? Sorry to hear about the CS I was looking to go out from all the good things people say.
