Had my 5 seconds of fame yesterday. Link below is to an NPR story that was on nationwide yesterday morning. I knew they were there about a month ago but did not know if the story made it out of editing or had aired, appearently today was the day. Pretty good story on the Wounded Warriors.

I have emails from folks I don't even know who goggled me and also goggled the WWP and found a couple of local newspaper stories about it. One fellow who is a song writer sent me a song he wrote and recorded called the "Fly Tying Man" - It is a very country sounding song (I'm tone deaf so what do I know), but it is good. The song has a Creative Commons license meaning you can use it and share it as long as he gets credit. I don't know how to post it but will send to Randy and let him do it. Just be sure the author and singer George Harvey gets credit.

Here is another group that deserves to be recognized.

Warriors On the Water Home Page
I am familiar with this group and they are doing a good job with a different clientèle - they target any service member who wants to bass fish and that is great because they all need something to help them get back to what passes as normal.

The clientèle for the Pechmann Center WWP are strictly those assigned to the Wounded Warrior Transition Battalion which is a part of Womak Army Medical Center. Many have limited mobility. WAMC appears to have the corner on medical specialists who treat Traumatic Brain Injury - we are seeing several afflicted with this little understood calamity.
