Its always nice to bring a few dozen minnows yak fishing on Harris Lake. Fished in 24-34ft of water, had more success in the 24ft range. My primary rod and reel will always have a swim bait, deep diving crankbait, gig or blade bait on. My secondary rod and reel had the minnow and was the fish catcher of the evening.

Had a few misses and also caught a 3 pound Channel Cat. Great evening on water 1/11/15.

I can't help you with what to use for bass. Bigger minnows?

I think the big thing now is to slow everything down.
