Billy suggs and i fished around swanquarter today and finally about noon we completed the slam of flounder , trout and drum . Overall it was a little slow for us but we ended up with 13 flounder , 7 trout and a nice 26 inch drum . Was very happy to see my nephew papadave and his fishin buddy on the "north end ", they had caught some nice fish yesterday and huntin for more today . Our fish caught on gulp mantis shrimp and chicken boy shrimp / procure .i think i know someone who is eating fresh fish for dinner tonight !!!!

Here we were fishing a good point ... miles & miles of outstanding water to fish ..... and in comes these guys in a jonboat, , jumpin the bank ahead of us. One was wearing a UNC ball cap no less .. the other guy was even sporting a double barrel over under Penn spinning reel. Told Bruce we might as well pack up and move on, there won't be no fish left when them fellers git done.

Curtis, can you tell what jig head, or how you rig those mantis shrimp. Seems like had several short strikes on the other day. I was using DOA short shank jig heads.

i use different jig heads in 1/8 and 1/4 oz. . i love pink color and chartruce color and the short strikes might be not giving them enough time , try waitin a little longer to set the hook . hope this helps and good luck on your next trip .
