I cannot help with the comparison, but I recently purchased 2 of the 3 LED underwater gigging lights for my boat. You have to make your own attachment for the boat. I have not used them yet but they are very bright. I called and spoke to Andy Loomis before buying. Seemed to be a nice guy. Lights are very well made and come with a 2 year warranty. I am expecting good things from the lights. I also plan to use the boat light as a walking light. Will be very easy to make the handle. I have made my own pvc LED lights using the MR16 LED. I have been successful with mine but they are not near the quality of the Loomis light. Hope this helps.
