Traded the Pescador Pro for a Wilderness Systems Commander 120 and it is amazing. It really is everything I’ve been looking for. I can sit low, sit high, stand and cast, hell I can even lay down inside it and relax and I’m 6’3”

Looks like it gets you out on the water to catch fish, when it comes down to it thats all that matters. Let's just call the anchor trolley, rod holder and the comfortable seat the cherries on top :). Nice rig, nice set-up and nice slime for the new rig.

My first kayak, a cheap Pelican Icon but I've got it setup to do a little fishing. Nothing fancy but I'm liking it! Caught my first, decent sized LMB from it this morning. Pretty excited! [emoji16]

Nice! Tell me about the seat and the line going across the foot rests please. I need a new seat.
Go Yankees!

Yes! Go Yankees! I picked up that seat from Academy, the stock seat did not look comfortable. I have a kids kickboard underneath it for a little height.

That line going across the foot rests is a tarp bungee, just there so I can attach my transducer line to it. (So I can pull up the transducer when getting to the shore). It's makeshift, I'm not sure if I'll keep it there. I just got the portable fishfinder so I'm still working out the kinks.

Made an update to the kayak last week, so far so good! I was going to put a crate in the back area of the yak but I can't reach back there when I'm on the water. I noticed that Pelican put a small flat area directly behind the seat so I installed a mini crate system. Basically stacked 2 mini crates (cut the bottom out of the top one) and mounted some rod holders to it. Able to fit two Plano boxes and a soft bait binder. Works out great, and I can actually reach it when I'm out on the water! ;) Been keeping my landing net in the rod holder so I can get to it quickly.

I haven't posted in quite a few years but I'm thinking about getting a kayak just to use 2-3 a day to do a little bass and crappie fishing. I've had one sit in and two sit on kayaks. I'd like to get another sit in that's 10 foot. I've been looking at the ascend H10. Would anyone out there recommend that kayak and what are the positives and negatives to this kayak. Thanks for all y'alls help in advance.

Man that thing is purty. Jackson’s always look great

Sold my Commander 120 and got back into a SOT. Found a good price on a kayak I’ve had my eye on for awhile, in the color I wanted it in. Added flush holders today, lots of rigging to do tomorrow including the Lowrance and Anchor Wizard. I’m pumped about this thing

That’s a hybrid style and should be very stable. Not fast though. Personally, I’d steer away from Ascend as they’ve had some quality issues. But not everyone has them. Stick to the big names like Jackson, Wilderness Systems, Native, etc and you should retain resale value pretty well if you buy used and take decent care of it
