I've seen fishing reports referring to turning basin. Is it right at the state port wall or anywhere in that general area? Is the boat dock formally known as "old causeway pier" part of the turning basin. A link to google maps will be helpful. thx

Navionics Marine US East. I don't think this particular version is available anymore but there are several Navionics apps available. Best fishing app out there imo. Want to know the tides? It's there, need to know the closest marina and their phone number? It's also there.
Trigger, can that app give you distances between points and stuff like that. Say if you wanted to make a long run and wanted to set a waypoint, would it calculate the distance?
Yes, it is able to give the distance between two points, but you have to drag a cursed along the way to be accurate. Say your measuring something down the ICW and it bends around to the left. You'll have to drag from start point to the bend. And then from yet bend to your next point. I hope that makes sense.
The extra features like looking up marinas requires data. But the GPS location is satellite. It worked on my phone 60 miles out
